Concours Mondial de Bruxelles

From 3 to 5 July 2024, Sardinia will host the prestigious Concours Mondial de Bruxelles - Sparkling Wines. The chosen location is the city of Alghero: the Sardinian-Catalan city has been selected as the setting for the session dedicated to sparkling wines - sparkling and fizzy - of the authoritative world wine competition.

A panel of journalists, wine experts, buyers and professionals will taste and evaluate thousands of bottles of sparkling wines from all over the world.

Sardinia will be the epicentre of the world wine scene dedicated to sparkling wines for three days, with an important spotlight also shining on local production.

The appointment will be part of the first edition of Alguer Wine Week, an event designed to celebrate the Sardinia of wine and wine culture through a series of events, tastings and shows, ready to animate the heart of the city.

The Sardinian leg of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is coordinated by the Consorzio Alghero DOC with the patronage and financial support of the Sardinian Region's Tourism Department.
